What happens when you take an egg; called the perfect protein because of the body’s ability to utilize it, and Salmon; an excellent source of omega 3′s, and blend them together? You get a super meal that serves up perfect protein along with heart healthy benefits and anti-inflammatory properties. The fact that it tastes great and takes 5 minutes to prepare is a bonus.
Nutrition: 2 eggs and 1 oz of salmon, as prepared = 250 cals
- 2 organic eggs (# depends on how many you’re serving)
- 1 oz wild smoked salmon (wild assures your getting the best omega 3′s)
- 1/4 red onion chopped
- 1 tsp extra virgin cold pressed olive oil (this is the best quality you can get)
Preheat a medium saute pan with the olive oil. Scramble the eggs and chop the salmon. When the pan is hot saute the red onion for 2 minutes then add the salmon and saute for 1 minute. Add the eggs and cook like your making scrambled eggs. Serve warm and enjoy the taste as you feel your muscles growing, heart strengthening and the inflammation leaving your body. Bon Apettit!
