Quiz Answer: Nutrition has more impact on health & weight loss, compared to exercise

We have to eat everyday. We don’t have to exercise unless we choose to. That makes food a necessity, and also gives us the opportunity to fuel our mind and body every few hours, as compared to exercise, which occurs once a day, if at all.

Every meal is an opportunity to do something good for yourself.  Choose wisely, and allow yourself to indulge once in a while just because you choose to.

  • peterk_admin   Good guess. Technically, yes. But nutrition alone has more impact on health than exercise. Having said that, we should be doing both for maximum benefit.June 13th, 2012 at 2:31 pm
  • Donna     I recently saw a segment on Good Morning America featuring a workout tip about morning workouts. Is it beneficial to workout without eating first? You have never mentioned this and I am not sure it is sound advice from a lifestyle change perspective.June 14th, 2012 at 9:33 am
  • peterk_admin     Good question Donna. It’s fine to work out without eating first, especially if it’s early in the morning. If you eat a balanced dinner the night before with healthy carbs- fruit, vegetables and whole grains like brown rice or quinoa, then you should have the energy you need.
