Get the most out of your exercise, every single time, by doing this…

I recently worked out with Jane, my business partner, whom you may know from my posts.  She’s been doing my band workout for at least 5 years now, and she still gets her  heart rate up to 130-140 beats per minute, which is amazing.  Her body is still challenged by the workout!

Most people think you need to do cardio to get your heart rate up, but if you do my workout, 20 minutes a day, 5 times per week, you can get your heart rate up like your running or swimming.

Why is heart rate important during exercise? Here’s an excerpt from the Mayo Clinic:

“To reap the most health benefits from exercise, your exercise intensity must generally be at a moderate or vigorous level. For weight loss, the more intense your exercise, or the longer you exercise, the more calories you burn.”

But remember, it’s also important to build muscle so you burn calories for 6-8 hours after for your workouts. That’s why doing the band workout is so effective; You’re doing cardio and resistance at the same time. Don’t just do cardio alone.
