You know what a breakthrough is? For me it’s when a client hears something that instantly releases them from what’s holding them back from better health. Recently, when a client heard someone tell her she didn’t have to like exercise or healthy foods, she had an epiphany. If you don’t know, that’s an, “oh sh*t”, moment. Soon after hearing that, she lost 6 lbs by sticking to her health routine.
You may remember someone telling you, “There are some things in life that you just have to do”. You don’t have to love doing, “healthy things”. It’s seems more logical to love what doing those things can provide; energy, vitality, self-confidence, happiness and love.

Besides snacking, here are 5 ways to elevate your mood and get through the afternoon without the mad dash for the vending machine. Of course, make sure to eat a healthy lunch, and then a small snack around 3pm including: fruit, nuts, seeds, or small yogurt and plenty of water.
- Listen to music to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Soundtracks and dance rhythms are great.
- Sit as tall as you can, tighten your stomach and put a little arch in your back.
- Visualization- see yourself doing something you love or being with someone you love
- Take a deep breath through your diaphragm, release, and repeat 5 times.
- Smile! You can’t feel like crud and smile at the same time. Try it.
