How many fruits and vegetables should you be eating?

vegetables

I was asked this by a client recently. She said she read that she has to eat 9 servings of vegatables a day.  That’s tough to do.  I don’t event get that many servings in a day on most days.  What to do?

Try this and you’ll get close:

  • eat a fruit and vegetable at every meal
  • at dinner and lunch try to have two or  types of vegetables
  • have a fruit for a snack

This website can be helpful with serving sizes- http://www.fruitsandveggiesmatter.gov/index.html
