You can’t beat this snack for low calories and full flavor. It’s as simple as a piece of crisp lettuce dipped into a high quality balsamic vinegar. The secret: make sure the balsamic vinegar is the good stuff. How will you know? It’ll taste very sweet and have a thicker consistency.
Go ahead and indulge: a lettuce leaf has about 5 calories and balsamic vinegar has anywhere from 10 – 20 calories per tbsp.
Tip- If you want to really go crazy make an olive oil & balsamic emulsion with shallots
Knowing these tips will help you prevent over-eating.
