Susan made a great connection between meeting her basic needs like food and sleep, and reaching her full potential. She found a disconnect that, until she repairs, will keep her spinning her wheels and struggling, even to write this blog. I applaud her honesty. The next time I sit face to face with her I’ll tell her, “This will get easier and soon you will jump to write your blog and you won’t fear the scale. Everything that is happening, is supposed to happen.” Until then, she must go through the pain temporarily to reveal her true self. She will. more »

When I read Susan’s blog below I sat back and smiled. She did what successful people do. She listened. And, she was honest with herself. Throughout our coaching session Susan asked what she could do better, instead of defending her sabotaging behavior. I think that’s why we connected right away and share a mutual respect. I knew there was something I liked about Susan when she first contacted me. Now that she quoted Abraham Lincoln below, she has a lifelong friend. She shares a regretful moment with us but in the last paragraph she wins the day back. She does something that takes her one step closer to lifelong health and success, and yes, she lost another pound, 63 and counting. more »

One characteristic of successful people, including ones who have lost weight and have become healthy, is their ability to see a vision and make it come true. Steve Jobs was one of those individuals that saw what was possible and made it a reality, regardless of who laughed at him or didn’t see what he saw.
As we strive toward better health, lets do what Jobs did, see the future as a better place for us and our families. A place where we look and feel good, are strong, confident and happy. If Jobs can start Apple in a garage, you and I can be healthy no matter where we are in life. To the future, together!

I mentor once taught me, surround yourself with great people and great things will happen to you. I’ve done exactly that, and now I’m now sharing these great people with you.
I’ve asked several members of my team to write about what has helped them as a member of the Fit Friends’ Revolution Club, or our coaching sessions together.
